All American Conference post season honors

Austintown Fitch High School’s 2013-2014 All American Conference post season honors went to the girls basketball first team of Megan Sefcik (AAC Player of the Year, first team Northeast Ohio; third team All State), Cassie Custer (third team Northeast Ohio) and second team of Sarah Melfe and Maura Bianco.

The boys basketball first team was Jessie Driver (AAC Player of the Year’ first Team Northeast Ohio; second team All State) and Alex DiFrancesco (Special Mention Northeast Ohio). Second team of Anthony Pangio and Quincy Higgins was Special Mention Northeast Ohio.

The girls’ bowling team was AAC champions, NE Sectional Champions and third place state champions. The first team was Katie Viglio (11th at state meet, Honorable Mention All State) and Lynette Seebacher (6th at state meet and second team All State). Jessica Halas was 16th at the state meet.

The boys’ bowling team was AAC champions. Kyle Condrick was first team, AAC Player of the Year.

Andrew Fairbanks, Zach Mackall and Camran Rezapourian were AAC first team, Eastern Ohio Wrestling League (EOWL).

The second team members were Dakota Miglets, Adam Green (second team EOWL), Isiah Jackson (second team EOWL), Tex Martin (second team EOWL) and Tony Behanna (second team EOWL).

EOWL Honorable Mention went to Dylan Green and Ron Shadd.

The girls indoor track and field team placed second in the state championships. Gabby Figueroa was state champion and national champion in weight throw.

Ka’Nayla Cox, Ebony Davis, Tyra Barnes, Makaila Barbel, Jayme Ritchie and Tradaiza Merchant were All State.

The boys indoor track and field team placed 11th at the state championships. Joe Harrington, Sam Ortz and Nate Bowlen were All State.
