Spouse: Reynald Pesa, whom she married May 30, 1950, at St. Vitus Church in New Castle. He died July 26, 1999.
Children: Anthony (Marsha) of Tennessee; Albert (Debbie) of S.C.; Angela (Tony) Vesci of Austintown; Andrew Pesa of Girard.
Education: New Castle High School, completed two-year course at New Castle Business College
Employment: Bookkeeper for Pennsylvania Department of Highways in New Castle. In 1971, she began working at corporate offices of the Salvation Army as an administrative assistant. She retired in 1994.
Memberships: In 1965, joined St. Edward Church, where she participated in school activities for her children, such as baking hundreds of banana bread loaves for a trip to Washington, D.C., for her daughter. The whole family joined in preparing a spaghetti dinner for 300 people for the graduation of the eighth grade. Later, she joined the Cenacle Prayer Group.
Activities/hobbies/lifestyle: Secretary and president of Women’s Auxiliary of ITAM Post 274. Wrote a cookbook “Favorite Recipes Homestyle.” Was featured in “Best of Best Ohio Cookbooks” and in “Our Good Cooks” in The Vindicator in 1977. In 1999 she was selected as a 21 WFMJ-TV “Day Maker.” At 81 she began a home business making dessert breads, which led to her participation in Elm Street Farmers Market for four years.
