TODAY

Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., will serve a chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church. The cost is $7. No reservations are necessary. For takeouts or to order ahead call the church at 330-743-3175.

Canfield Christian Church, 123 S. Broad St., will serve Lenten breakfasts from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. through April 16. Donations will be accepted. For information call 330-533-2246.

Holy Family Parish, 2729 Center Road (Route 224), Poland, will have a pasta dinner from 3 to 6:30 p.m. or until sold out. A cavatelli dinner costs $8; a side of cavatelli and one meatball is $5; homemade pasta fagioli, $5 per quart, limited quantities. This is drive-through and takeout only. Signs will direct you; place your order; remain in your car and your dinner will be delivered to you.

Martin Luther Lutheran Church, 420 Clearmount Drive, Youngstown, will sell soup from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesdays through Lent. Today chicken noodle soup is $6 per quart. For information call 330-788-8707.

THURSDAY

Poland United Methodist Church, 1940 Boardman-Poland Road, will have takeout dinners from 3:30 p.m. until sold out. The cost is $6. Just drive to the front of the church and your meal will be ready.

Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road, Canfield, will have a drive-through chicken dinner from 4 p.m. until sold out. The meal costs $8.

FRIDAY

American Legion Post 737, 16465 Milton Ave., Lake Milton, will serve a variety of fish and chicken meals from 3 to 7 p.m. The costs range from $5 to $8.50. For information call 330-654-5630.

Canfield Lions Club will have a fish fry from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at A La Cart Catering, 429 Lisbon St., Canfield. The cost is $11.

Christ the Good Shepherd at St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi for $5 a dozen. Phone in orders beginning at 8 a.m. to 330-755-1316, and orders can be picked up starting at noon. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers. No walk-in orders will be available.

Girard Knights of Columbus Council 2935 will sponsor a fish dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. at the hall, 122 S. State St. Dinners cost $8 for adults, $4.50 for children 4 to 12 and free for kids under 4. Pop and water are an additional 50 cents each. Carryouts will be available. Call 330-545-3432.

Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi while supplies last. Orders may be picked up from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., will sell potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $6 a dozen. Orders should be placed from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday or 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-746-9528 and are to be picked up between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Friday. Hot lunches will be available at 11 a.m.

Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish Center, 4500 Norquest Blvd., Austintown, will serve fish dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Adult dinners are $10, and children’s are $5. There also will be a 50-50 raffle. St. Joseph Immaculate Heart of Mary eighth-grade class trip to New York City will earn 15 percent of all food sales.

National Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon, 2759 N. Lipkey Road, North Jackson, will be serving fish dinners from 3 to 7 p.m. every Friday during Lent, except Good Friday. The cost will be $11 for adults and $6 for children. Carryouts are available. For information call 330-538-3351.

St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, will sell potato with cheese pirogi. To order call 330-799-0084 from 8:30 a.m. to noon Thursday and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. The cost is $6 per dozen. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday; no containers are necessary. Walk-ins are welcome. Patrons are asked to use the side entrance.

St. Brendan Church, 144 N. Schenley Ave., Youngstown, will serve sit-down or takeout fish dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. in the church hall. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Sides are haluski, parsley potatoes, macaroni and cheese and french fries. Luncheon specials from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. are takeout only and include a sandwich and side for $6 or an entire dinner for $10. For takeout orders call 330-799-3683.

St. Maron Parish, 1555 S. Meridian Road, Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3 to 7 p.m. for $10 each. Tuna dinners will be available for $12.

St. Patrick Church, 315 N. Main St., Hubbard, will serve fish dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Adult tickets are $9, and children’s, $7. Shrimp dinners with one side are $7 and pirogi, haluski, macaroni and cheese or ravioli dinners are $6. Call after 3 p.m. for carryouts at 330-534-4219.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi for $5.50 a dozen. Orders can be called to 330-542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday. Walk-ins are welcome.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. Advance orders will be taken from 8 to 11 a.m. at 330-747-3024. Pickup will be from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $6 per dozen. Pirogi lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Walk-in orders are welcome.

St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Community, 4453 Warren-Sharon Road, Vienna, will serve its annual fish dinner from 3:30 to 7 p.m. Takeouts are available at 3 p.m. Prices are adults, $9; children, $4.50; and kids under 4, free.

SATURDAY

Bethel Lutheran Church, 425 Crestview Drive, Boardman, will have a Swiss steak dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. The cost is $10 for adults and $4 for children under 12. Carryouts will be available. Pay at the door. All proceeds will go to Bethel Brotherhood.

Columbiana Meals on Wheels will sponsor a spaghetti dinner and basket auction from 1 to 7 p.m. at Firestone Park, 347 E. Park Ave., Pavilion 4 (duck pond). Prices are adults, $7, and children 12 and under, $4. Carryouts are available. Proceeds benefit Columbiana Meals on Wheels. For information call 330-482-0366.

New Hope United Methodist Church, 21 Fairview Ave., Niles, will host a roast beef dinner with a salad and dessert bar from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Prices are $10 for adults, $4 for children 5 to 12, and free for those under 4. A bake sale will be offered during the dinner.

St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church, 301 Struthers-Liberty Road, Campbell, will have its Russian Easterfest from 2 to 6 p.m. Friday and from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday.

Vienna United Methodist Church, 4265 Warren-Sharon Road, will serve a Swiss steak dinner from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Takeouts also will be available. The costs are $9 for adults, $4 for children 5 to 12, and free for kids under 4. The church is handicap accessible. For information call the church at 330-394-2827.

SUNDAY

Christ Our Savior Parish, Holy Trinity Church, 250 N. Bridge St., Struthers, will sponsor a stuffed cabbage dinner from noon to 4 p.m. at the parish hall. Adult meals cost $9, and children’s, $5. Take your own containers.

Girard Boy Scout Troop 40, chartered by St. Rose Church, will have its annual Pancake Breakfast Buffet from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday at First United Methodist Church of Girard, 22 N. Market St., across from the Post Office. Adult meals cost $8, children’s 4 to 11 cost $5, and meals for kids under 3 are free. Tickets will be sold at the door and takeout is available.

St. James the Apostle Church, 4019 Route 422, Pulaski, Pa., 1 1/2 miles east of the Ohio/Pennsylvania line, is hosting a breakfast brunch from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Adult meals cost $7, and children’s, $3.

St. Mary Church, 3504 state Route 46, Mineral Ridge, will have a pancake, French toast, sausage and egg breakfast from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $6 for adults, $4 for children 5 to 11, and free for those under 4.

St. Patrick Church, 1420 Oak Hill Drive, Youngstown, will host a spaghetti dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a concert from 2 to 3 featuring the Wade Raridon Singers. The cost is $7 for adults and $3.50 for children 8 and under. Carryouts will be available. Dinner proceeds will benefit medical expenses for Nick and Christine Loya, owners and operators of Eikona Studios in Cleveland.

Southington American Legion Post, 3145 Warren-Burton Road, will host an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the post home. Donations of $6.50 are requested for adults, $4 for children under 12, and under 4 will eat for free.

Trumbull County Junior Fair Board is sponsoring an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Trumbull County Fairgrounds, 899 Everett-Cortland Hull Road, Cortland. There also will be a basket raffle and 50-50 drawing. Cost is $6 for adults, $5 for seniors and $5 for children 4 to 12, 3 and under eat for free. Funds raised are used for awards for the Junior Fair Board King and Queen and Super Showmanship contests.

VFW Post 2799, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will serve a homestyle breakfast sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary from 8 a.m. to noon for $5 for adults and $3 for children under 12 years old.

Youngstown American-Hungarian Club, 2219 Donald Ave., will serve chicken paprikash dinners from 1 to 3 p.m. The cost is $9. Take your own container for takeout dinners to save $1.25 container charge. Reservations or order deadline is Thursday; call 330-792-5124.

Youngstown Shrine Club, 1735 W. South Range Road (Route 165), North Lima, will host its annual all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets are $8 for adults, $3.50 for children 6 to12 and free for 5 and under. TUESDAY

First United Methodist Church, 210 S. Main St., Columbiana, will serve a drive-through ham dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. The cost is $7. There is no need to get out of your car. Follow the signs on Pittsburgh Street.

TAKING ORDERS

First Presbyterian Church of Girard, 890 Church Hill Road, will sell 15-inch homemade pepperoni rolls for $7, vegetable beef soup and chicken noodle soup for $5 a quart and $3 a pint, fresh-baked bread for $1.50 a loaf, and cinnamon sugar cookies and chocolate chip cookies for $1 for a bag of 4. Orders can be placed by calling 330-647-7515 by April 10. Pickup is between 3 and 4:30 p.m. April 12.

Holy Apostles Parish is taking orders for Croatian, Hungarian, Polish, Slovak and Slovene kielbasa for $7 per pound. Order forms are available at Sts. Peter and Paul Church, 421 Covington St., Youngstown, or St. Stephen of Hungary Church, 854 Wilson Ave., Youngstown. Completed forms can be placed in the collection baskets at the churches or mailed to the central office, 854 Wilson Ave., Youngstown, OH 44506. The deadline is Sunday, and pickup will be from 2 to 6 p.m. April 14 at Sts. Peter and Paul Church.

The cost is $7 for plain or plain with icing or $8 for raisin or raisin with icing. Orders can be picked up from 3 to 6 p.m. April 15 or 16 at the educational center.
