Stuffed toy taken from Nelson’s band returned

PORT CHESTER, N.Y.

A theater manager says a stuffed armadillo that was stolen from Willie Nelson’s band after a show in suburban New York has been returned unharmed.

He says the band isn’t pressing charges.

The toy critter, known to the band as Ol’ Dillo, disappeared after a Sept. 19 concert at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester. Bailey says the armadillo was a treasured possession of Nelson’s monitor engineer, Aaron Foye.

Video shows a woman snatching it away. General manager Tom Bailey says a different woman brought the armadillo to the box office Friday in a sealed box. She did not identify herself. Bailey says theater staffers believe they know who stole the armadillo, but he says Nelson’s road manager said Foye would not press charges.

Kaley Cuoco engaged

NEW YORK

“The Big Bang Theory” actress Kaley Cuoco is off the market.

After a quick courtship, Cuoco is engaged to tennis pro Ryan Sweeting, her rep confirms.

The 27-year-old actress and 26-year-old Sweeting began dating about three months ago.

The engagement comes a few days after Cuoco took Sweeting as her date to the Emmy Awards. At a pre-Emmy event, Cuoco called Sweeting the “greatest date ever” on a photo posted to her official Twitter and Instagram accounts.

News of the proposal was first reported by Us Weekly.

It will be the first marriage for both.

“The Big Bang Theory” returned for its seventh season Thursday.
