BOARDMAN

Township police arrested two cleaning personnel from TJ Maxx, Boardman-Canfield Road, after they were caught stealing merchandise from the store.

An internal theft investigator for the store told police he caught Carrie Grossen, 36, and George Tutoki, 35, both of Girard, stealing multiple items as they worked Sept. 24, according to a police report. They were arrested Wednesday and face theft charges.

Grossen stole $279.87 worth of merchandise and Tutoki stole $413.76 worth of merchandise, according to police reports.

Grossen was released on a summons, but Tutoki was transported to Austintown Police Department for an active warrant on a charge of receiving stolen property.

Naive criminals-- Never thought that they might be on camera as they clean.
