The Orthodox Food Festival is planned from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at St. George Serbian Orthodox Church, 65 S. Keel Ridge Road, Hermitage, Pa. Foods from various heritages will include Serbian lamb and cevaps, Greek gyros and stuffed grape leaves, Ukrainian pirogi and stuffed cabbage and Romanian roasted chicken and mititei. There also will be pastries for sale along with live music and refreshments.
Youngstown Saxon Club’s annual Speck Fry (Saxon slab bacon) will take place from 1 to 6 p.m. at the club, 710 S. Meridian Road, Austintown.
