2 taken to hospital today after 3-car crash in Boardman

Published: Fri, September 20, 2013 @ 2:02 p.m.

BOARDMAN — A three-car crash on U.S. Route 224 in Boardman sent two to the hospital Friday morning.

At about 10:45 a.m., a Chevrolet Cruze driven by 52-year-old Jill Pasqual of Boardman ran into an SUV, which then hit another SUV, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

At the time of the accident, the cars were heading eastbound, and were in front of St. Charles Church.

After impact, the Cruze rolled backward about 450 feet, crossing over four lanes of traffic and striking the Wild Birds Unlimited sign at Amherst Avenue.

Pasqual and 94-year-old George Passas of Youngstown, who was a passenger in the second SUV, were taken to the hospital.

Both are in stable condition. The patrol cited Pasqual for failing to maintain an assured clear distance.

When is an accident JUST an accident! Police seem to think that it's their duty to apply blame in every situation. I'm sure the woman didn't just wake up this morning and decide to cause an accident! She and the 94 yr old guy are in the hospital.. leave her the hell alone.
