Top Hat Productions will open its season with “Blood Brothers,” one of Broadway’s longest-running musicals.
Top Hat first presented “Blood Brothers” several years ago, and since then it has been one of the requested shows.
The contemporary rags-to-riches tragedy of two mothers (played by Brandi Johantges and Julie Palumbo) and two sons (Bill Marr and Brian Palumbo), tells the story of fraternal twins separated at birth growing up streets apart, becoming best friends and falling in love with the same girl, not knowing that they are brothers.
As one brother prospers and the other fails, the story takes a dark turn, and the narrator (Aaron Franek) reminds all “that a price has to be paid for separating twins.”
“Blood Brothers” will be presented as dinner-theater Friday and Saturday, and again Sept. 27-28 and Oct. 4-5.
The evening will begin with dinner at 6:30 p.m.
Top Hat is located in the Fairview Arts & Outreach Center, 4220 Youngstown- Poland Road. For reservations, go to brownpapertickets.com, or call 800-838-3006.
