Police search for man following fight, shots fired

Police are searching for a man after several units were called for a fight and shots fired on the first block of Halls Heights on the lower West Side about 12:40 p.m. today.

At least six city police cruisers were on the scene as well as a cruiser from Mill Creek MetroParks Police.

No one was arrested, but neighbors had reported shots were fired and a man ran out the back of the home and through several yards, but police could not find him.

One man was questioned in a cruiser but he was released at the scene.

More information is expected later.

Our Garden District neighborhood is getting worse. Get these punks, thieves and drug dealers out of here. We are tired of it!!! Call the YPD Task Force if you see any suspicious activity, strange vehicles, extra unwanted traffic, etc. They will take all information seriously. License plate numbers, street addresses, anything. Pretty soon the thugs will be leaking into Fellows Riverside Gardens.

"It's now time for the upstanding citizens of the west side to pack up and move to the suburbs, the filth is surely taking over!!"

That's bull! If "the filth is taking over," it's because the upstanding residents are leaving, and making room for them! If you care about your neighborhood and your neighbors, you'll stay and fight to make it better.
