Today’s entertainment picks:

v “Spamalot,” 7:30 p.m.: The Youngstown Playhouse presents the first local production of the hilarious Monty Python Broadway musical; 330-788-9739.

v “The Matchmaker,” 7:30 p.m.: The play that served as the basis for “Hello, Dolly” on stage at Victorian Players Theater, 702 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown; 330-746-5455.

v “Joseph and the Amazing Techni-color Dreamcoat,” 8 p.m.: The popular Andrew Lloyd Webber-Tim Rice musical at Trumbull New Theatre, 5883 Youngstown-Warren Road, Niles; 330-652-1103.

v “Nevermore!,” 8 p.m.: The world premiere of Robert Dennick Joki’s musical based on the macabre writings of Edgar Allan Poe. Rust Belt Theater, at Calvin Center, 755 Mahoning Ave., Youngs-town; 330-507-2358.

v Poster exhibition, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.: An exhibition of socio- political posters from around the world opens today at the McDonough Museum of Modern Art, 525 Wick Ave., Youngstown; 330-941-1400.

“Haven” (10 p.m., Syfy): Preview clips for Season 4 of “Haven” show lots of things blowing up. Clearly, the town inspired by Stephen King is a dangerous place. Maybe they should put a dome over it.

“Real Time with Bill Maher” (10 p.m., HBO): This show might have interesting guests and provocative discussions, but it also has the world’s slowest-loading website, which makes it frustrating to find any information about the new season, which begins tonight.
