Youngstown police arrest men on drug charges

YOUNGSTOWN — Members of the police department’s Vice Squad found several mason jars filled with suspected marijuana and a small amount of suspected heroin while serving a warrant at a home in the 500 block of West Judson Avenue on the South Side about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Also found were nine bags of suspected marijuana, a digital scale and $62. The suspected heroin was found in a car parked in the drive that reports said belonged to Woody McMullen Sr., 38, of Youngstown. He was arrested on the charge of possession of drugs (heroin) and taken to Mahoning County jail.

Also arrested for trafficking in drugs was Arthur Drayton, 33, of Youngstown. He was also taken to the jail. Reports said officers cited the homeowner, Gary Janis, 46, on the charge of permitting drug abuse.
