The Youngstown-Warren Chapter of the Carpatho-Rusyn Society will sponsor a Rusyn-Slovak Vatra (bonfire) picnic from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday on the grounds of Infant Jesus of Prague Byzantine Catholic Church, 7754 South Ave. Note the change in location from the Grove.

The picnic will feature cultural events, music and homemade ethnic foods such as stuffed cabbage, pirogi with butter and onions, haluski with dumplings, kolbasi with sauerkraut, and slanina (bacon at the fire) with diced onions and tomatoes on rye bread, and hot dogs and beverages.

There is plenty of parking and it is handicapped accessible.

A Byzantine Catholic Divine Liturgy will begin at 6 p.m. at the church.
