Man says he’s innocent of interstate speeding

AUSTINTOWN

A 31-year-old man pleaded not guilty in Austintown court on Monday to charges of fleeing and eluding and reckless operation of a vehicle.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said Jerry Burton of Youngstown was driving 110 mph last Wednesday on Interstate 680 in Austintown.

While attempting to stop him, Burton fled taking the Meridian Road exit, turning left onto Mahoning Avenue and then he fled from the car onto Schenley Avenue. Troopers caught Burton on foot.
