Shain Widdersheim gets 15 years in prison in death of her son

YOUNGSTOWN -- The mother of Teddy Foltz of Struthers received maximum sentences this morning on charges she allowed her ex-boyfriend to abuse her three sons, killing Teddy in January 2012.

Shain P. Widdersheim received a sentence of 15 years from Judge R. Scott Krichbaum of Mahoning County Common Pleas Court.

Teddy, died in January five days after a beating he received from 43-year-old Zaryl Bush, who received  33 years to life in prison earlier this summer after pleading guilty to murder and other charges

Prosecutors and police said Widdersheim kept family and others from seeing Teddy and his twin brothers, now 11, and that Bush abused all three for a significant period of time, including forcing the twins to beat Foltz as well as beating all three himself.

"You don't deserve the title of mother," Judge Krichbaum said. "Mother is a sacred title no one should call you."
