Lions Club earns charter designation

NORTH JACKSON

West Mahoning County Lions Club was recently chartered at a meeting at Dino’s Restaurant in North Jackson. The club will celebrate its Charter Night on Oct. 5 at the Deerfield Town Hall.

Officers selected by the club are Jerry Roland, president; James Rockenfelder, vice president; Michele Roland, secretary; Shirley Boyles, treasurer; Melissa Rockenfelder, membership chair; Brad Dougherty, two-year director; Bill Vesia, one-year director; Wanda Sabol, tail twister; Randy Boyles, lion tamer; Linda Williams, public relations chair; and past district governor Ted Filmer, guiding lion.

The club comprises members from the Berlin, Ellsworth and North Jackson areas, however, members are welcome from other areas as well.
