BINGO, CARD PARTIES
Bethlehem Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America will present Back-to-School Bingo from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 388 E. Midlothian Blvd., Youngstown. Greenville Recreation Center YMCA, 45 Alan Ave., Greenville, Pa., will host its 14th annual holiday craft show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 9. Admission is $1, kids under 12 are free, and the first 50 attendees will receive a complimentary goodie bag. There will be craft vendors, a 50-50 raffle, a basket auction and a door-prize giveaway. Leetonia Artisans Festival is set from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 15 at Wick Park on Walnut Street. The show will go on rain or shine and will offer more than 60 vendors of arts, crafts, antiques and collectibles, homemade foods and baked goods. The event also will feature children’s activities, a classic car cruise, a book sale and an open house at the Leetonia Public Library during festival hours. NIGHTS AT THE RACES
Knights of Columbus Council 15086 will sponsor A Knight at the Races on Oct. 5 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Social Hall, 343 Via Mount Carmel Ave., Youngstown. Doors will open at 6 p.m., and races will begin about 7. Admission, food and refreshments are free. The evening will include a 50-50 drawing and a silent auction. Bethel Lutheran Church, 425 Crestview Drive, Boardman, is sponsoring a no trash, just treasure sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. A $2 sale will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday.
Ladies Shrine Club of Youngstown will have a garage sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at 11415 Market St., North Lima. Proceeds will benefit patients at the Shrine Hospitals.
Liberty Presbyterian Church, 1451 Church Hill-Hubbard Road, will have a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 20 and 21. There will be furniture, books, clothing, kitchen items and computer equipment. The church is accepting donations of clean gently used clothing, books, furniture, etc. for the sale. Youngstown American Hungarian Club’s 28th annual Hungarian Heritage Day will take place from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the clubhouse, 2219 Donald Ave. The event will include authentic folk art, music and food. Admission is $3 per person.
AARP 4611 East is planning a trip to the Sunday Gospel Brunch at 11 a.m. Oct. 13 at House of Blues in Cleveland. A bus will leave at 8:45 a.m. from the Belmont Wal-Mart parking lot at the south fence by Goldie Road. The cost is $70 and includes transportation, brunch, entertainment, casino and shopping. Holy Apostles Parish Altar and Rosary is sponsoring a bus trip to Rivers Casino on Sept. 22. The cost is $30 per person. There will be $20 in comps; there will be fun and games on the bus. New Hope United Methodist Church, 21 Fairview Ave., Niles, is sponsoring a bus trip to Amish country Sept. 28. This replaces the Aug. 17 trip that was canceled. The cost is $65 and includes bus fare, breakfast buffet, family style dinner, shopping and flea market.
