Pizza delivery driver robbed of cash, food and phone

youngstown

A pizza delivery driver was robbed of cash on the South Side about 9:10 p.m. Sunday.

Reports said a driver for Marco’s Pizza went to make a delivery at a home in the 1400 block of East Indianola Avenue and a man there asked her for change. When she went to give the man his order, he pulled a gun and demanded her money. After he took her money bag he also took her cellphone, reports said, before walking behind the house.

Police followed tire tracks behind the house to a vacant home on Taylor Street, reports said. Total loss to the store between money and food was $40, reports said.

If I were the pizza shops in this area, I would put delivering pizzas inside the city in certain areas off limits. If is not worth the safety of the delivery person who is trying to do a job.
