Foghorn and Oliver take the crowing crowns

CANFIELD

In Monday morning’s Rooster Crowing Contest at the South Ring there were five winners in both the senior and junior division. Winners of the contest have the roosters with the most crows in 30 minutes.

The junior division winners are: Sawyer Jones in first place with rooster Foghorn crowing 53 times; Ellie Ricketts in second place with rooster Junior crowing 51 times; Dyllen Gibbs in third place with rooster Pain crowing 44 times and also taking fourth place with rooster Big Red crowing 35 times; Tyler Wells in fifth place with a rooster crowing 32 times.

The senior division winners are: Tim Walls in first place with rooster Oliver crowing 67 times; Vicki McMaster in second place with rooster Heinz crowing 58 times; Andrea Walls in third place with rooster Walter crowing 52 times; Diane Pollock in fourth place with rooster Stud crowing 33 times; Alan McMaster in fifth place with rooster Mr. Big winning in a sudden death round with 32 crows.

The record for most crows in 30 minutes is 137 from the rooster Marshmallow in 2007.
