HUBBARD Priest blesses new playground
The Rev. Daniel Kulesa, a priest in residence at Villa Maria Teresa, blessed a new playground at the Villa Maria Teresa Day Care and Kindergarten School, run by the Oblate Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
The playground is handicapped-accessible, manufactured for safety, child satisfactory and according to state code regulations.
It has swings, slides, a tunnel and a variety of climbing toys. There are ladders and steps, free-standing manipulative walls and a rock wall climber. All of this learning equipment is installed on a 4,866-square-foot soft surface, which helps the children enjoy superior safety.
Among those present at the ceremony were representatives from the school’s Parent Association, Oblate Sisters, benefactors and donors. Richard Kali from The Landscape Design Company and his family were in attendance.
At the invitation of the Sisters, the state inspector came to give the final inspection and approval of this updated playground.
The Oblate Sisters are grateful to all who contributed to this costly project. They continue to accept donations in order to offset the cost of playground equipment and special ground surface. All donations may be sent to Oblate Sisters, Villa Maria Teresa School, 50 Warner Road, Hubbard, OH 44425.
