Austintown Senior Center, 100 Westchester Drive, has planned the following: Monday, active exercise at 8 a.m., 30 minutes with God at 9, monthly membership meeting and blood pressure checks at 9:30, bingo at 10, painting class at 10:15, beginner computer class at 10:30, OSHIP social worker at 11:30, advanced computer class at noon and grief recovery at 1 p.m.; Tuesday, active exercise at 8 a.m., trip to IKEA in Pittsburgh at 9, bingo at 10, bridge club at 10:30, line dancing at 11 and AARP Notables at 1 p.m.; Wednesday, active exercise at 8 a.m., bingo at 10, jewelry-making class at 11:30, tai chi and pizza party ($3) at noon, movie matinee, “The Rise of the Guardians,” at 12:30 p.m. and AJWL meeting at 7 p.m.; Thursday, active exercise at 8 a.m., wood carving at 9, yoga at 9:15, SOS at 9:30, low impact sculpt at 10, intermediate computer class at 10:30, beginner crochet at 11 and dinner and bingo at 5 p.m.; Friday, active exercise at 8 a.m., comparative religion at 9, and bingo, discussion group on brain fitness and AARP driver safety course at 10; and Saturday, Grandparents Day party from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. For information call 330-953-1416 or visit www.austintownseniorcenter.webs.com.

Guardian Angels of Ohio, a volunteer guardianship program of Trumbull County Probate Court, is looking for new volunteers. The next monthly meeting will be at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 6 at Perkins Family Restaurant, 1953 Niles-Cortland Road SE. Angels reach out in friendship to people who are elderly and alone in Trumbull County by providing trained, qualified volunteers to serve as advocates. Angels also are involved in planning special events for seniors, such as health fairs and Make a Difference Day projects. For information call 330-675-2521 or visit www.trumbullprobate.org.

Lordstown S.C.O.P.E. Center, 1776 Salt Springs Road, has planned the following: Monday, bingo at 10:30 a.m.; Monday through Friday, Wii bowling, cards and crafts from 10 a.m. to noon and 1 to 2 p.m. with lunch ($3); Tuesday and Thursday, bridge from 10 a.m. to noon and 1 to 2 p.m.; Wednesday, woodcarving from 10 a.m. to noon and chair yoga from 12:45 to 1:30 p.m.; Thursday, bridge from 7 to 10 p.m.; Friday, bingo from 10:30 a.m. to noon; and Oct. 21, “Ask the Pharmacist” luncheon with Rob Fetty ($3), take a list of medications with you. On Oct. 26 a haystack dinner will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Entertainment will be by One Man Band, and Halloween costumes are encouraged. There will be a $25 cash prize for the best costume, and there will be door prizes and a 50-50 raffle. The cost is $10 per person. The center also welcomes seniors who play euchre, canasta, poker and bridge. Beginners are welcome. Call for details. Quilting sessions will be starting soon, and all skill levels are invited.
