Guardian Angels of Ohio, a volunteer guardianship program of Trumbull County Probate Court, is looking for new volunteers. The next monthly meeting will be at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 6 at Perkins Family Restaurant, 1953 Niles-Cortland Road SE. Angels reach out in friendship to people who are elderly and alone in Trumbull County by providing trained, qualified volunteers to serve as advocates. Lordstown S.C.O.P.E. Center, 1776 Salt Springs Road, has planned the following: Monday, bingo at 10:30 a.m.; Monday through Friday, Wii bowling, cards and crafts from 10 a.m. to noon and 1 to 2 p.m. with lunch ($3); Tuesday and Thursday, bridge from 10 a.m. to noon and 1 to 2 p.m.; Wednesday, woodcarving from 10 a.m. to noon and chair yoga from 12:45 to 1:30 p.m.; Thursday, bridge from 7 to 10 p.m.; Friday, bingo from 10:30 a.m. to noon; and Oct. 21, “Ask the Pharmacist” luncheon with Rob Fetty ($3), take a list of medications with you. On Oct. 26 a haystack dinner will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Entertainment will be by One Man Band, and Halloween costumes are encouraged. There will be a $25 cash prize for the best costume, and there will be door prizes and a 50-50 raffle. The cost is $10 per person.
