Krysta Sylvester and Jeffrey Peterson, both of Boardman, exchanged vows June 1 at St. Charles Church. The Rev. Phillip Rogers and Deacon Paul Lisko officiated at the 1:30 p.m. ceremony.
A reception followed in the Grand Ballroom of Stambaugh Auditorium.
Parents of the bride are Kathy and Joseph Sylvester Jr. of Boardman. Christina and Keith Peterson of Lowellville are parents of the groom.
The bride wore a custom A-line gown of organza and tulle with a halter neckline. Her ensemble was completed with a beaded bodice, chapel train, triple strap back, and beaded embroidery adorned the skirt.
Kimberly Heckman, wearing a crimson red gown, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids included Ashley Kempe; Tori Innocenzi, cousin of the groom; Heather Peterson, sister-in-law of the groom; and Juli and Kathy Peterson, sisters of the groom. The groom’s niece, Madisyn Peterson, was flower girl. The attendants wore black gowns.
The groom’s brother, Andy Peterson, performed the duties of best man. Groomsmen were Joey Sylvester, brother of the bride; Josh Peterson, cousin of the groom; Michael Nolfi; Brian Wharry; and Buddy Dorney.
The bride, who is retaining her maiden name, attended Miami University of Ohio and studied graphic design and fine arts. She works in real estate and marketing at Joseph Sylvester Construction Co. Inc. in Boardman.
The groom attended West Liberty University and studied graphic design. He is manager at the Vitamin Shoppe and owner of Karma Juice Clothing, both in Boardman.
After an Eastern Caribbean Cruise, the couple reside in Boardman.
