Ham operators to help at walk

CANFIELD

Members of the Western Reserve Amateur Radio Club will again provide volunteer radio communications for the American Diabetes Association’s walk fundraiser, from 9 a.m. to noon Oct. 20 at the Canfield Fairgrounds.

The WRARC has monthly meetings at 6 p.m. the third Tuesday of each month at Davidson’s Restaurant, 3636 Canfield Road, Canfield. At the meeting Tuesday, Ed Brannan will speak about counterterrorism at Tuesday’s meeting. Guests and new members are welcome.

The club also will host training classes for the general class amateur radio license from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Wednesdays from Nov. 6 through Dec. 18 at ITT Tech, 1030 N. Meridian Road, Youngstown. Those attending must hold a technician’s amateur radio license.
