National ‘Come To The Fire’ Conference invites women
Venture Church, located at 7872 Glenwood Ave. in Boardman, is hosting the live streaming of the eighth annual ‘Come To The Fire’ Conference on Oct. 17-19.
Women from across the nation and beyond will participate in this annual event. Wanting to experience a fresh encounter with God, women from dozens of denominations have attended this free women’s conference each year. Last year, more than 2,000 women from eight countries, 35 states and 38 denominations attended the annual conference.
Come To The Fire is designed to help women discover the spiritual life they have always wanted. The theme of this year’s conference is “Celebrate Your Freedom” with speakers Linda Boyette, Beth Coppedge, Aletha Hinthorn, Nancy Jesudass and Carolyn Johnson.
This event is open to the public with conference fees on a donation-only basis. Women can register through the organization’s website: http://cometothefire.org/conference-registration, view a brief video of the history of CTTF, and listen to the 2013 theme song.
The organization, based in Leawood, Kansas, was begun by director Aletha Hinthorn, with the purpose of inviting women to enjoy a close relationship with a holy God. Since 1984 the organization has reached out to women through various ministries, including luncheons, a magazine, daily online devotionals, book publishing and annual conferences.
Scheduled conference sessions include an opening session on Oct. 17 from 7-9 p.m., a morning session from 9 a.m. until noon, a healing service from 2-4 p.m. and an evening session from 7-9 p.m. on Oct. 18, and a closing session and communion service from 9 a.m. until noon on Oct. 19.
