Vietnam Gen. Vo Nguyen Giap dies at 102

HANOI, Vietnam (AP) - Gen. Vo Nguyen Giap, the ruthless commander who led an army of guerrillas to victory in Vietnam over first the French and then the Americans, died today. The last of the country’s old-guard revolutionaries was 102. A national hero, Giap enjoyed a legacy second only to that of his mentor, founding president and independence leader Ho Chi Minh.

Love the way the left wing media reports this guy is a hero for beating the U.S. (cnn had same accolades). The U.S. military never lost a battle in vn. The dem politicians handed the north a gift wrapped victory. This clown just happened to be the general in charge at the time.

Yes I am :) which makes you a rimmer. I like your revisionist history but I was alive then and the repub prez ended the war. The protesters, traitors (re kerry), and other dems handed the north a victory. The U.S. was the only one to honor the treaty. We DID NOT "lose". A treaty was signed and we withdrew. We could have kicked the north's a$$ if it weren't for the politics. We lost a lot of people but never lost a battle. Is this guy your hero?? NOT a "rescumlican", NOT "lying". Come back if you ever want tea-bagged again...
