Woman arrested after assaulting federal agent

YOUNGSTOWN — A 36-year-old woman was arrested and arraigned on charges she assaulted a federal agent Wednesday as U.S. Marshals tried to serve an arrest warrant on her son.

Rochelle Johnson also has a charge from city police pending for resisting arrest after the marshals came to her 201 W. Chalmers Ave. home about 1 p.m. Wednesday looking for her son, Trevon Johnson, 20, who had a warrant from Columbiana County Common Pleas Court for possession of drugs.

Rochelle Johnson is accused of not only resisting arrest but also slamming a steel door on the hand of Marshal Dean Michael after he attempted to arrest her after warning her twice not to interfere with the arrest of her son. She had to be stunned with a electronic stun gun before she could be handcuffed, reports said.

Reports say she was taken to the federal courthouse on Market Street after she was arrested.
