Kosar pleads not guilty to OVI

Boardman native Bernie Kosar, a former quarterback for the Cleveland Browns, pleaded not guilty in Bedford Municipal Court to a charge of operating a vehicle while impaired and a speeding charge.

The pleas were entered by Kosar’s attorney, George Simon on Monday.

Kosar, 49, was arrested early Sunday after Solon police smelled alcohol on him.

Kosar’s pretrial on the charges is Dec. 9.
