910th to deliver Mission of Love cargo to Guatemala Monday
Air Force Reservists from the 910th Airlift Wing’s 76th Aerial Port Squadron at Youngstown Air Reserve Station will load 14 pallets of Mission of Love humanitarian cargo Monday for transport to Guatemala.
The Denton Program allows private United States citizens and organizations to use space available on U.S. military cargo planes to transport humanitarian goods, such as clothing, food, medical and educational supplies, agricultural equipment and vehicles, to countries in need. The program is jointly administered by a government agency known as USAID, the Department of State and the Department of Defense.
The Mission of Love Foundation, whose founder and director is Kathleen M. Price of Youngstown, has organized numerous humanitarian and medical missions and has built homes and other buildings at home and abroad for people recovering from hurricanes, tornadoes and other natural disasters.
