FERRARA TRIAL | Three life sentences for Marsh murders

Published: Fri, November 22, 2013 @ 10:00 a.m.

YOUNGSTOWN — Just before he was handed three life sentences for murdering three members of a Canfield Township family in 1974, James Ferrara said he did not commit the crimes.

“You got the wrong guy,” he told Judge R. Scott Krichbaum.

Ferrara was convicted by a jury in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court Thursday of murdering Benjamin Marsh, 33; his wife Marilyn; and their daughter, Heather, 4, inside their South Turner Road home in Canfield Township on Dec. 13, 1974.

Ferrara was indicted in June after finger prints collected at the crime scene were matched to Ferrara in 2009.

whoopee. he was already serving a life sentence. this was a waste of taxpayer money. he should be hung at a public execution. I guess beating a four year old girl to death doesn't get you the death sentence? release him to the public and we'll get justice done since the court can't.

They have the wrong guy but they have the right bloody prints.
I hope his pen pals know he had something to do with the brutal beating death of a 4 year old baby girl.
He knows something.
He's just not giving it up. After all the man has principles, you know??
There are some things he just won't do.
