Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley’s new 10,000-pound magnetic resonance imaging scanner was lifted by crane Tuesday off the tractor-trailer rig that delivered it. It was placed in a specially designed modular unit attached to the back of the hospital. The $2 million project includes the MRI device, modular building, pediatric sedation suite and other renovations.
