Campbell police arrest 2 on drug-trafficking charges

Published: Tue, November 19, 2013 @ 8:45 p.m.

CAMPBELL — City police arrested two people on drug-trafficking charges after a traffic stop.

Arvella R. Davis, 34, of Sunshine Avenue, and Priscilla L. Jackson, 31, of South Heights Avenue, both in Youngstown, were stopped at 6:14 p.m. Sunday on Center Street for having a cracked windshield, a license-plate light that wasn’t working, and having objects hanging from the rearview mirror, a police report says.

Davis, who was driving, consented to a search of his car. The officer discovered small plastic bags of suspected drugs hidden in a compartment under the console, the report says.

Police confiscated 49 bags of suspected crack cocaine, a bag of 26 Tramadol pills and two bags of suspected marijuana.

Police also found two bags of suspected crack cocaine and a bag of suspected marijuana on Davis, along with $952, the report says. They found $125 on Jackson.

I have a relative who lives in Campbell. She stated that the police have stepped their traffic enforcement and that is what has led to all these busts. You know what I got to say about that. GOOD JOB BOYS KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. Cracked windshield, burned out tail light any minor infraction you can pull them over for that results in getting the bad guys keep it up.

lol, don't leave Youngstown with all that cracked window/taillight/brake light-out nonsense. I was just musing last night about how I never have seen any traffic stops in 20 years of driving in my city and the only times I've ever been pulled over were after doing something so completely stupid in front of a YPD cop that the poor guy had no choice but to pull me over.
