Mike Guarnieri, senior pastor of Father’s House Church in Norton, Ohio, will be guest speaker when Youngstown Chapter of Igniting New Life Ministries, an interdenominational ministry, meets Monday at Georgeanna Parker Activity Center in Boardman Park, 325 Boardman-Poland Road.
Fellowship will begin at 6:30 p.m. with ministry at 7.
How do churches find faithful balance between money reasonably spent on themselves and money spent to help others? Where is the line between expenditures that maintain a church building’s integrity and beauty and expenditures? What are the advantages and disadvantages of even having a church building?
These and other questions will be the basis for a dinner and discussion Sunday at First Presbyterian Church of Girard, 890 Churchill Road.
The potluck supper begins at 5 p.m. and the discussion at 6. Visitors are expected and welcome at both events.

Hope Lutheran Parish will conduct Saturday evening services at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 140 Cherry St., at 5 p.m. They are planned the third Saturday of the month and are for parish churches.

Ken Medema, composer, vocalist and pianist, will participate in worship services at 8:30, 9:30 and 11 a.m. Sunday at Andover First United Methodist Church, 181 S. Main St.
He also will present a free concert at 7 p.m. today at Pymatuning Valley High School, Route 6.
A free-will offering will be taken to support community services.
One of the centuries-old prayer forms in the Roman Catholic Church, the Miraculous Medal Novena, began Nov. 20, 1933, at St. Patrick Church, 1420 Oak Hill Ave.
At its height, buses from downtown brought people to the novena. In the 1940s and 1950s, there were 12 novena times scheduled each Monday.
This is the 80th year of the novena at the church. It will be recited at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Boardman Evergreen Seventh-day Adventist Church, Glenwood Avenue, will present the documentary “Nefarious: Merchants of Souls” at 2 p.m. Sunday. The award-winning film focuses on human trafficking.
Members of North Eastern Ohio Coalition of Rescue and Restore will answer questions. The event is free and open to all.
