Newton Falls woman charged with drug possession

YOUNGSTOWN — A Newton Falls woman is in Mahoning County jail after police found 10 pills, two syringes and three spoons on her after a car she was a passenger in was pulled over for an improper lane change at Market Street and West Avondale Avenue about 11:45 p.m. Wednesday.

The pills were found under the seat where an officer saw 24-year-old Amber Cool drop them, reports said. The needles and spoons were found in her purse.

She is charged possession of drugs and possession of drug abuse instruments.

The driver said he did not know she had drugs on her. He was released with a warning for the lane change.
