16-year-old South Side teen charged in homicide of Niles man

A 16-year-old South Side teen was charged Wednesday in Mahoning County Juvenile Court with an Oct. 28 homicide on the South Side.

Damarrea Harris, who has an Idora Avenue address, is charged with the death of David T. Perkins, 23, of Higley Avenue in Niles.

Perkins was found lying dead in the driveway of a vacant 266 Hilton Ave. home about 9:20 a.m. Oct. 29. Coroner’s officials said he had been shot in the back.

Harris had been arrested last week on a stolen property charge, Foley said. He has past incidents including aggravated robbery and burglary, Foley said.

16-yr old already with a 'history", and nothing said about punishments handed down to the parent of this cockroach. Keep them entitlements coming and this is what you can expect. Thugstown is over-run with cockroaches and officials seem to have no clue. WOW

Wow--great job juvenile court system. Probably the most expensive juvenile justice system in the state. No wonder all my other friends who do not live in Youngstown complain about the county funding the juvenile justice center. It is Youngstown's juvenile court for 90% of the cases.
