Sex offender Scott Langham charged with endangering children

Published: Wed, November 13, 2013 @ 10:05 p.m.

WARREN

A 31-year-old city man is charged with endangering children after members of the U.S. Marshal’s Task Force discovered he had left his 16-month-old child alone in a home on Highland Avenue Southwest for two hours.

The officers went to the home twice Tuesday afternoon to arrest Scott Langham on several warrants, one of them for failing to register as a sex offender.

On the second trip there, officers saw Langham’s father, who said Langham fled after officers were there the first time.

The child’s mother arrived and allowed officers inside the house, where the child was found alone in an upstairs bedroom but uninjured.

The child’s mother called police later when Langham returned, and he was arrested.
