YOUNGSTOWN — A Western Pennsylvania couple was arrested on aggravated assault charges early Sunday morning after a man was beaten with among other things a shoe in the parking lot of an East Midlothian Boulevard bar.
Police were called to a parking lot in the 1300 block of East Midlothian Boulevard about 2:30 a.m. when they arrived they found a man bleeding from the head and a man who had blood on his shirt.
A witness said the man with the blood on his shirt, Paul Geminiani, 39, was urinating behind a wall and his girlfriend, Amber Lynn Yannachione, 31, was next to him when a man sexually solicited Yannachione. Yannachione then smashed the man in the face with a high heeled shoe and the witness ran inside the bar to call police.
Inside Geminiani’s car police found the shoes, which had blood on the soles.
Both were taken to the Mahoning County jail and are expected to be arraigned in Municipal Court. The victim was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center for treatment.
