Center to help those returning from prison opens Nov. 26 in Youngstown
YOUNGSTOWN — ACTION is announcing a plan for a Home For Good Re-Entry Referral Center in the city’s downtown.
The organization plans to partner with numerous policy-makers and service providers to assist formerly incarcerated individuals to re-establish their lives and help them make productive contributions to society, according to a news release from the Alliance for Congregational Transformation Influencing Our Neighborhoods, the faith-based community organization based on social justice and institutional integrity.
ACTION includes a membership of 20 area congregations that will take a leadership position in the field of re-entry as a provider of services and central coordinating agency by making referrals to appropriate providers, and encouraging cooperation among interested parties.
The center will be located at 20 Federal Place and will open Nov. 26.
