St. James Meeting House in Boardman Park was the setting for the Aug. 31 wedding of Kristie Hanrahan and Kevin Johnson. The Rev. Dr. Lewis W. Macklin II officiated at the 11 a.m. ceremony. and a reception took place at St. Columba Hall in Youngstown.
Her parents are Steve and Mary Walla of Hubbard and Anita Williamson of Youngstown. His parents are JoAnn Brantley of Youngstown and Hiawatha Johnson of Troy, Ala.
The couple reside in Youngstown.
The bride wore a white satin A-line chiffon gown with a split front adorned with beaded embroidery and a chapel train.
The bride’s sister, Dawnn Jones, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Benigna Pagan; Kismet Johnson, the groom’s sister; Athena May; and Desire James.
The attendants wore burgundy-colored gowns.
Michael Moore, the groom’s cousin, performed the duties of best man.
Groomsmen were Timothy Davis and Devin Johnson, the groom’s sons; Eric Snyder; and Kennon Mitchell. Ushers were Tyree and Tyrell Johnson, the groom’s nephews.
The bride earned a degree in practical nursing from Choffin Career & Technical Center. She is a nurse for Meridian Arms Living Center and works for Rural-Metro Corp., both in Youngstown.
Mr. Johnson is a rehabilitation assistant for Camelot Arms Care Center in Youngstown and is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.
