Helmick named Farmers president and CEO

Staff report

Farmers National Bank on Thursday announced it has named Kevin J. Helmick as president and chief executive officer of the bank.

Helmick was serving as the interim president after it was announced in October that his predecessor, John S. Gulas, was terminated for unspecified reasons.

“We are pleased to welcome Mr. Helmick into this expanded role,” said Lance Ciroli, chairman of the board of directors at Farmers National Banc Corp., the bank’s parent company. “In addition, the board of directors pledges its steadfast support to the current management team and believes the dynamic group has the knowledge, skill and experience to continue leading our company to new levels of success.”

Helmick, 41, has spent his entire professional career with Farmers, most recently as the company’s executive vice president of retail and wealth management.
