TODAY

Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will serve a chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the church. The cost is $7. No reservations are necessary. For takeouts or to order ahead call the church at 330-743-3175.

THURSDAY

Col. Louis J. Campbell VFW Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. The cost is $6.50 for adults and $3 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $7 and will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.

Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road, Canfield, will have a drive-through chicken dinner from 4 p.m. until sold out. The meal costs $7.

FRIDAY

Christ the Good Shepherd at St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi. The cost is $5 a dozen. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at 330-755-1316, and orders can be picked up beginning at noon. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers. No walk-in orders will be available.

Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi while supplies last. Orders may be picked up from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at 330-792-1005. Containers will be provided for takeouts.

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $6 a dozen. Orders should be placed from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday or 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-746-9528 and are to be picked up between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Friday. Hot lunches will be available at 11 a.m.

Poland United Methodist Church, 1940 Boardman-Poland Road, will serve its annual turkey dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Tickets are $9 for adults and $4 for children 7 to 12. Takeouts will be available.

St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, will sell potato with cheese pirogi. To order call 330-799-0084 between 8:30 a.m. and noon Thursday and 7 a.m. and 2 p.m. Friday. The cost is $6 per dozen. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday; no containers are necessary. Walk-ins are welcome. Patrons are asked to use the side entrance.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi for $5.50 a dozen. Orders can be called to 330-542-3525 between 7 and 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday. Walk-ins are welcome.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. The cost is $6 a dozen. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 8 to 11 Friday, based upon availability. Pickup will be from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Walk-in orders are welcome. Pirogi lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.

SATURDAY

American Red Cross is sponsoring a blood drive from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a free hot lunch at Glenn Christian Church, 5540 Parkman Road NW, Warren. There will be a drawing for a $25 gift card.

Fowler United Methodist Church, 3426 Youngstown-Kingsville Road, will serve a chicken pie dinner from 3:30 to 6 pm. Takeouts are available. Tickets are $9 for adults and $4 for children 6 to 12; preschoolers eat for free. Call 330-638-5189.

Old Springfield United Methodist Church, 11957 Youngstown-Pittsburgh Road, New Middletown, will serve its annual turkey dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $8 for adults and $3.50 for children 6 to 12; those 5 and under eat for free. Carryout also is available. There will be a bake sale and basket auction from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 2985 Center Road, Poland, will sell sausage sandwiches, chips and pop for $6; cheese is 50 cents extra. The drive-through only event will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. or until gone. Proceeds will be used to help cover medical expenses for Steven Sferra, a member of the church. Smith Corners United Methodist Church, 3000 S. Canfield-Niles Road, Austintown, will serve an all-you-can-eat pancake, sausage and egg breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to noon. The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children 10 and under.

St. Joseph Social Hall, 4565 New Road, Austintown, will serve a roast beef dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. Tickets for adults cost $7, and for children under 12, $4. The event is sponsored by St. Joseph Men’s Club.

SUNDAY

Boardman Band and Orchestra is sponsoring a pasta dinner from noon to 5 p.m. at the Blue Wolf Banquet Center on Lockwood Boulevard. Tickets are $7, and children 5 and under eat for free. There will be a basket auction, 50-50 raffle, lottery tree and musical entertainment by the students.

Christ Our Savior Parish, Holy Trinity Church, 250 N. Bridge St., Struthers, will sponsor a stuffed cabbage dinner from noon to 4 p.m. in the parish hall. Tickets for adults cost $9, and for children, $5. Take your own containers.

Jackson Milton High School Sports Club is hosting its annual pasta dinner from noon to 5 p.m. at the high school cafeteria, 13910 Mahoning Ave., North Jackson. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for children; those under 5 eat for free. Tickets are available from any student athlete or at the door. There also will be a basket auction and a 50-50 Raffle.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church on Via Mount Carmel, will sponsor a spaghetti dinner from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the church hall. The cost is $7 for adults and $4.50 for children. All carryouts are $7; containers are 75 cents, or you can provide your own. The Vestibule Club will conduct a basket raffle during the dinner.

First Presbyterian Church of Girard, 890 Church Hill Road, will taking orders for 15-inch homemade pepperoni rolls for $7 each; chili and chicken-noodle soup for $5 a quart and $3 a pint; and fresh-baked bread for $1.50 a loaf. Orders can be placed by calling 330-647-7515. Deadline to order is Nov. 14; pickup will be between 3 to 4:30 p.m. Nov. 16.

Happy Hearts Junior Croatian Tamburitzans are selling apple, cheese and blueberry strudel for $9 each. Orders will be accepted through Friday, and pickup will be from 6:45 to 8:30 p.m. Nov. 19 at the Croatian Center, 3200 Vestal Road, Youngstown. To order call Windi Kresic at 330-980-9384.

Holy Apostles Parish at Sts. Peter and Paul Worship site, 421 Covington St., Youngstown, is taking orders for five types of kielbasa by the pound. The choices are Croatian, Hungarian, Polish, Slovak and Slovene. The cost is $6.99 per pound; call 330-793-1890 or 330-629-2695. The deadline is Nov. 24, and pickup is Dec. 17.

St. John the Baptist Cultural Society is sponsoring a velija dinner from 3 to 8 p.m. Dec. 8 at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish, St. John the Baptist Church Hall, 159 Reed Ave., Campbell. Appetizers will be served from 3 to 4 p.m. and dinner will be at 4. Tickets are $15 each and must be purchased in advance by calling Mariann Pacak at 330-755-1979 by Dec. 1.
