The city’s holiday parade and festival will be Dec. 7 from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m., downtown.
A Winter Wonderland will be offered at the 20 Federal Building, 20 W. Federal St., starting at 1:30 p.m. Hot cocoa, shopping with local vendors, a Santa’s shop and hands-on craft activities for children will be available.
OH WOW! The Roger & Gloria Jones Children’s Center for Science & Technology, 11 W. Federal St., will offer free admission that day.
The parade will begin at 3:30 p.m. at East Federal Street, and travel west on West Federal.
Santa will arrive at the end of the parade with the Christmas tree lighting and announcement of the winner of the 2013 holiday window decorating contest at the main stage in Central Square.
After the parade, Santa and Mrs. Claus will go to 20 Federal Building to visit with children and take photographs. The Youngstown State University photography department will provide families with one free photo; additional copies will be available.
