GROVE CITY, PA.
The Grove City College Department of Accounting graduates are in the top tier when it comes to taking their Certified Public Accounting exams.
The college’s accounting graduates ranked No. 22 in the nation on the 2012 CPA Examination among medium-sized programs, a category that included 260 institutions.
Grove City College graduates’ pass rate was nearly 20 points higher than the national average for medium-sized programs, which are defined as those with between 21 and 60 candidates sitting for the exam on an annual basis.
“These results are not surprising, given the bright young men and women that we work with on a daily basis and their dedication to achieving the professional goal of CPA licensure,” said David Baglia, accounting department chairman.
The rankings were released earlier this year by the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy, which serves as a forum for the nation’s Boards of Accountancy, which administer the Uniform CPA Examination, license more than 700,000 certified public accountants and regulate the practice of public accountancy in the United States.
