Austintown author examines life lessons

In her book “Enjoying Your Journey Even When the Road is Out,” author Bonnie Verdinek shares her understanding that life is not always happy and prosperous and that people face trials.

“Why is this happening to me?” “Are my prayers just hitting the wall?” “Will my life get any better?” are questions people ask themselves when facing troubles, she says.

Verdinek compiled the book from uplifting and encouraging lessons. She reminds readers not to let anything steal their joy, and because everyone has to take the journey through life, everyone might as well enjoy it.

Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book is available through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.

Authors will talk about Amish works

Mary Ellis (“A Little Bit of Charm”), Amanda Fowler (“A Plain Disappearance”) and Kathleen Fuller (“Letters to Katie”), three of Ohio’s popular authors of Amish fiction, will be available from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Nov. 23 in the McKinley Auditorium, 40 N. Main St., to talk about their writings and the Amish community and to sign and sell their books.

To register, contact the library at 330-652-1704, ext. 212, or go to www.mckinley.lib.oh.us.
