All Souls Day services planned

A Mass for All Souls Day will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, 3900 Villa Maria Road, Lowellville. Refreshments will follow.

All Souls Day services are scheduled on Sunday at All Souls Cemetery, 3823 Hoagland-Blackstub Road in Cortland; Calvary Cemetery, 248 S. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown; and Resurrection Cemetery, 300 N. Raccoon Road, Austintown.

Prayers will be at 1:45 p.m. with the services at 2.

Installation service


Bridge of Hope Assembly of God, 7580 Glenwood Ave., will conduct an installation service for the Rev. Douglas Reed as lead pastor at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 10. The Rev. John Wotton, network superintendent of the Ohio Ministry Network of the Assemblies of God, will officiate.

The Rev. Mr. Reed is a graduate of Valley Forge Christian College and is an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God.

Bridge of Hope offers services at 10:30 a.m. Sundays with child care for infants through 3 years old and a children’s ministry for preschoolers through fifth grade.

Concert at church


St. Patrick Church, 1420 Oak Hill Ave., continues its Sauce and Song program with a one-hour concert at 2 p.m. Sunday featuring Rino Angelini, a full-time music minister for 40 years.

He is the music director for five choirs at St. Peter Parish in Columbus and previously served as music director at Bellarmine Chapel at Xavier University in Cincinnati and St. Rose Church in Girard. Four of his liturgical songs appeared in the 1990 Glory and Praise Edition “Children of Jerusalem.”

The concert is free and open to the community. Free-will offerings will be accepted.

Growth conference


Union Baptist Church, 528 Lincoln Ave., will host a church growth conference from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday.

Adult classes will be “Partnering with the Pastor” with Dr. Avan Odom, “Black Presence in the Bible” with Pastor James L. Cherry and “Experiencing God’s Presence” with Pastor T.J. Thomas.

Praise service set


Southington United Methodist Church, state Route 305, in the town center, will have a praise and worship service at 7 p.m. Nov. 9 featuring the band Worship 101. Casual dress is permitted, and refreshments will follow. For information, call 330-898-2156.

Church anniversary


St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, 2053 North Road NE, will celebrate its 75th anniversary with vespers at 4 p.m. today.

Divine Liturgy will be at 10 a.m. Sunday followed by a banquet.
