Black Firefighters anniversary banquet Friday

YOUNGSTOWN

The Youngstown Association of Black Professional Firefighters will host a 20th anniversary banquet 7 p.m. Friday at the Regency House, 3704 Mahoning Ave.

The program will include recognition of Jesse Carter, Youngstown’s first black firefighter. The Sharyl E. Frasier-Everett Memorial Scholarships will also be awarded; Frasier-Everett was Youngstown’s first female firefighter.
