A 31 Tremble St. man is in Mahoning County jail after being arrested about 8:30 a.m. Thursday on a charge of felonious assault.
Police were called to the address, and when they arrived, they found a 46-year-old woman in the street who had several bruises and bloody and torn clothing, police reports said.
The woman said a neighbor in her apartment building, David Cash, 54, called her over to his apartment the night before and was upset that she was dressed nice and wearing makeup and began beating her because he thought she was seeing someone, police reports said. Cash came outside as officers were talking to the woman and said to them, “We got into it last night,” reports said.
He was arrested, and police later searched his apartment where they found several blood stains on the floor of his bedroom, police reports said. The woman was examined by paramedics at the scene.
A municipal court spokeswoman said Cash was arraigned Friday, was given an $8,000 bond, and ordered to have no contact with the victim. He has a preliminary hearing at 9 a.m. Friday.
