Springfield attorney, school board VP Schoenike missing, police say

Published: Fri, May 17, 2013 @ 11:43 p.m.

NEW SPRINGFIELD

Springfield Township Police Department has asked for help from the FBI after Springfield school board Vice President Jon Schoenike went missing Friday.

Schoenike, who is also an attorney, didn’t respond to phone calls Friday afternoon from his wife, which is cause for concern because it is uncharacteristic for him, said Police Chief Matthew Mohn.

Schoenike’s car and car keys were found in the parking lot of the Boardman Tennis and Swim Club on West Boulevard, Mohn said.

That is near Schoenike’s law office, but Schoenike works mostly out of his home, Mohn said.

It is not known when Schoenike was last seen, he added.

Anyone with information about Schoenike is asked to call Springfield police at 330-542-2895.
