Sheriff’s deputy charged with drunk driving

YOUNGSTOWN

A Mahoning County Sheriff’s Department deputy’s job could be on the line after an alleged drunk driving accident over the past weekend.

Deputy Kenneth O’Rourke, 52, of South Raccoon Road, Canfield, is on paid administrative leave from the sheriff’s department after reportedly crashing into two parked cars while driving drunk Sunday. The accident took place on South Raccoon Road.

There were no injuries in the accident.

County records list the drunk driving arrest as a first offense for the deputy. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges and is due back in Canfield area court next Friday.

What's wrong UNPAID leave, instead of paid leave. He should be FIRED., What kind of example is he setting for others?
