Salvation Army dinner in Warren
The Warren/Trumbull County Salvation Army’s annual dinner is at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Dilucia’s Banquet Center, 2610 Elm Road NE, Warren.
Proceeds from the event help Trumbull County children attend the Salvation Army summer camp.
Tickets are $25 per person and include dinner, entertainment and a silent auction. Tickets can be purchased at The Salvation Army, 270 Franklin St., Warren, or by sending a check or money order for the number of tickets wanted to The Salvation Army, 270 Franklin St., Warren, OH 44483.

Author to speak at ValleyCare events
Northside Medical Center and Trumbull Memorial Hospital, affiliates of ValleyCare Health System of Ohio, will welcome noted author and humorist Bobbe White as the keynote speaker to commemorate the first anniversary of ValleyCare’s Senior Circle programs. White’s address is titled “The Road to Good Health is Paved with Good Humor.”
The Northside Senior Circle’s expo, lunch and presentation is at 11:30 a.m. May 14 at Mr. Anthony’s Banquet Center in Boardman. The TMH Senior Circle event is at 10:30 a.m. May 15 at Leo’s Ristorante in Howland.

The events offer health expos featuring displays, health information and screenings, music and other activities. Free screenings include blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar and bone density.
Senior Circle, a program designed for adults 50 and over, promotes fellowship, fun and healthy active lifestyles.
Journey to India
Grow Youngstown will have a cultural night called Journey to India featuring sitar music, a slide show and Indian food to sample. It will take place at 6 p.m. today at The Unitarian Universalist Church, 1105 Elm St.

Warren woman says she was assaulted
A 25-year-old Lancer Court Northwest woman reported Friday that a known man entered her home early last Wednesday, assaulted her and choked her, causing her to become unconscious. The woman said she woke up eight hours later and went to ValleyCare Trumbull Memorial Hospital for treatment.
The officer observed her to have a black eye and bruising to her arm.
One person was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center for minor injuries from a two-car rollover accident at Market Street and Western Reserve Road on Saturday afternoon.
The Canfield post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said additional information on the crash was not available.
