Yo-Mah-O Chapter honors professionals
The Yo-Mah-O Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals had its annual Administrative Professionals Day Recognition Dinner on April 24 at Antone’s Banquet Centre.
Gina Marinelli, chief development officer for Humility of Mary Health Partners, spoke at the dinner. She was a key fundraiser for the Joanie Abdu Comprehensive Breast Care Center at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
The chapter honored its member of the year, Joseph S. Gibson II. He joined IAAP as a student member in November 2010. After graduating from college in August 2011, Gibson upgraded his membership to professional status.
Gibson has served on several chapter committees, including membership, certification, publicity and scrapbook. He serves as co-chairman of the Social/Program Committee and as assistant treasurer for the 2012-13 year. He is running for treasurer for the upcoming 2013-14 year.
An active member of the Ohio Army National Guard, Gibson serves as a human resources sergeant in the G1 Personnel Branch at Joint Force Headquarters in Columbus.
Residing in Columbus, Gibson makes monthly trips to Youngstown for chapter meetings and other chapter events.
